BIG Update: JKBOSE Postpones Class 10th Annual Regular Exam

The Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education has made a significant announcement regarding the Secondary School Examination (Class 10th) for the Soft Zone areas of the UT. In light of unforeseen circumstances, the examination, which was initially slated for the 7th of March, 2024, has been rescheduled to the 4th of April, 2024.

This decision affects several vocational subjects crucial for student assessment, including Agriculture, Apparel, Makeup & Home Furnishing, Automotive, Beauty and Wellness, Health Care, IT & ITES, Physical Education & Sports, Plumbing, Retail, Security, Telecommunication, Tourism and Hospitality, Electronics, and Hardware.

While this rescheduling may cause adjustments in students’ study plans, it aims to ensure a fair and conducive environment for examination purposes.

The postponement provides necessary time for logistical arrangements and ensures that students can undertake their examinations without any undue pressure or disruption.

The official notification, bearing number F(Acad-C)X-SZ/AR-DS/PP/Exam/24 and dated 05-03-2024, has been issued by the Director Academics of the Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education.

This directive has been disseminated to various stakeholders to ensure comprehensive awareness and adherence to the updated examination schedule.

Copies of the notification have been distributed to key authorities, including the Administrative Secretary to Govt. School Education Department, Directors of School Education in Kashmir and Jammu, District Development Commissioners, Director of Information, Senior Superintendents of Police, and other relevant officials.

This dissemination ensures that all relevant parties are informed and can take necessary actions in response to the updated examination schedule.
